I had a birthday.

We're trying to teach Malak how to be gentle... it's not working very well. Sometimes it's hard not to whack people it the face...

Yesterday was my birthday!! Because I am a classy lady we had my favorite restaurant cater... don't even pretend like you haven't always wanted to have an entire tray of Chik-Fil-A nuggets all to yourself. It was basically a dream come true. Andrew (my brother in law) and I were in heaven and ate about 42 between the two of us...About 2 litters of baby chicks.

Eric gave me some cash for my birthday (that way I could go shopping and buy the things that I want and that actually fit...I like it this way) But he got creative and instead of handing me a wad of cash he got online and figured out how to make origami out of the dollar bills! Um seriously, when I woke up he had decorated the entire bedroom in streamers (we do that every year for every birthday) and there were millions (that might be an estimation) of origami animals hanging everywhere. I'm talking, every animal God created was hanging above my bed. How cute is he?? Very. And very thoughtful. And it was very sad when I had to unfold them. I should have just taken them to the store in their natural state of animalness and then when I needed to pay for an item I could hand them an elephant, a duck and a few giraffes.
Eric also made me 2 pies from scratch! A lemon meringue and a peach pie... cause he's a good little husband like that.
This was the fake candle blow out...

And the real blow out.
Hey remember that video where my son bashed his cousins innocent little head in? Dang.

Eric, you're giving all our husbands a bad name...but Tara thinks you rock (and so do the rest of us). TWO homemade pies?!? Does a girl get any more lucky? Oh, yes, money oragami...and Chick-fil-a. Wow, a birthday to remember for always. It would have been better if you had not unwrapped the oragami just to see the look on the clerks face when you went shopping!!
P.S. Maybe God IS trying to tell me to keep the pink! We'll find out in three days...

Also, I love the originality of the origami and catered nuggets...only you...And how romantic with the hovering origami animals...LOVE IT!
