Let the good times roll...

I know that I need to post baby shower pics but I am waiting on a bunch of pictures from another camera and so I will just give you a mere glimps into that glorious day of my shower! Actualy, my brother and sister in law and their two kiddos were in town for the week and so we have had a busy and crazy last few days...as if their mere presence wasn't enough, they came bearing gifts! They brought two huge suitcases FULL of baby clothes that their 2 yr old Jones has grown out of- here is me sorting through them all...you can barely see me between the giant piles of onsies and sweater vests...thats right, Malak is going to be the coolest kid in town but he will also be a big nerd and will wear funny little sweater vests and such. We have also inherited a few "awsome" clip on ties! Heehee.
Anyway we had such a fun time with them this week! The four of us lived together for a year back in the day before the kids were born and it was kinda like the good old days...but totaly different. We took the kids to the pumkin patch, cooked a few good meals, went out for a few good meals, caught each other up on the latest family news and friendly gossip...but mostly we were just together at the house trying to get Jones to take a nap (in vain) and chatting. It was a glorious time....at least Eric and I had a glorious time....I hope they did. :) And I am so so glad that Jess, my bestest friend (and in-law) was able to come for my shower- I love her!
This is Jones! He is the funniest little guy I have ever met...he is the busiest guy I have ever met...and also the loudest guy I have ever met. Oh what a week! Jones, you light up my life...
Here is my precious niece India. Sometimes I just call her Indy or Indy Bindy. I love her so much I want to marry her. It was so fun to see Eric take care of Indy- he probably held her more than me or her parents put together! He is going to be such a good dad to our son- I love to see him in that type of role!
Here is the one and only picture of my shower- it will have to hold you over until I can get more. This awsome blanket was made for Malak by my sister in law Jenn and Kim. It is such an amazing creation and really is so very precious! If you click on the picture you can see more detail and that they made it from a Gap "Red" onsie...it means so much that so much love and thought was put into and also that the money they spent on it is going to help end poverty in Africa...love it. Love it.

The whole shower was wonderful- I am so blessed by my family and friends and can't wait for Malak to meet each and every one of you who have been waiting and praying for him!

OK OK I will tell you more about it later when I have more pics!

oops, here goes again. anyway, so tara the real reason that i didn't want to leave a comment on this particular blog is that i didn't want to toot my own horn on the blanket thing. but since i am here, i might as well- "toot toot" for jenn and kim. and by the way... keep on truckin'!
