sick and tired...but I have a Passport!

First things first...as you can see, I got a very special package in the mail today! It was actually a pleasant surprise because on Friday evening the Passport people told me they didn't even have the paper that I had Fed-Exed last week! I promptly told them that I was looking at their signature online saying that they had received it...apparently they changed their tune because here it is! It is actually quite providential that I received it today....
because last night i got sick with the flu or something and so decided not to go into work today. If I would have gone to work I wouldn't have been able to sign for the package! It is also quite wonderful that it came today because Eric and I were able to go to the bank and get that and a few other documents notarized for our Dossier. Normally we would have had to wait to do such things until the weekend because Eric works until 7 every night and the banks are already closed. Thankfully I got sick and stayed home and we were able to do that and were thus able to send off the last few items for our Dossier!!! Aside from CIS approval we are officially done with our Dossier...thank you Jesus, it is out of our hands!
My husband is the sweetiest thing ever! Since i am not feeling good, he went to the store and came home with the following- soup, Saltine crackers- whole wheat even, since that's what I like, Gatorade to quench my little dehydrated body, and lots of trashy magazines to keep me entertained as I lay alone all day. I love that guy! (and I also love reading these ridiculous magazines)

Tara! I just found this blog! I wasn't ignoring your adoption process, I promise. I'm so happy that you guys are getting so close. Malak is going to be so blessed to have you as his parents. I love that you chose his name because it had a special meaning--you know how I am about names and their meanings! And I love his nursery and his wardrobe--you're not going overboard, it's normal! You should have seen what Bennett had waiting for him MONTHS before he was born.

You're going to lovelovelove being a mommy. It rocks! I'm sure you already know this, but being a mom has nothing to do with biology--I would love Bennett exactly the same if God had sent him to us via Ethopia or Russia or the moon. Loving him so much my heart feels like it's going to explode has nothing to do with giving birth to him or sharing DNA, I love him because he's the sweet baby
God gave me, not because of how he came to us. Like I said, I know you already know all that...I just wanted to say it because maybe someone reading this had doubts about adoption and maybe it will help steer them towards the tiny little love of their life.

I love you and I'm praying for a speedy and easy end to the adoption process and beginning of the parenting adventure.

I'm so impressed by all this blogging. It's almost like you're preparing to be a stay at home mom with all the spare time you're pretending to have...
