Updates, letter, moms...

We got an update on Mal today! It is wonderful to have such things in times like these! Here is a little snipit of what Joanna had to say about our little man (and he is a little man, he is at the ripe old age of 7 months):

“Malak is such a nice guy! I am afraid he may not walk because everybody wants to hold him! If he would cry and complain more, people might actualy shy away. But until then he will remain a prince of leisure! Right now he is perfectly content sucking his thumb and hanging out!”

(I have a thumb sucker!)

It is fun to read these little insights into our sons personality and yet there is SO much to wonder about! For example, she said he may never walk, does that mean that he is already crawling?? A mama needs to know such things! I guess it will make our meeting that much more exciting, to find out ALL of these many things we wonder about. Something to look forward to!

Below is a letter we recieved from our nephew Jones, who is 2 years old. I think it is precious. (by the was he calls me TT)

And this, is a drawing of Malak...of course. What else would it be??
After a wretched week last week my mom came to visit me! It was SOOO good to have her here. And she was a huge blessing for me on Friday when court did not go well. She not only took care of her emotionaly unstable daughter, she cleaned the house, did the laundry, cooked the meals and helped me completely beautify my front yard and porch. It is now lovely and flowery and green! Aaaah, what are mothers for? This, these very things, are exactly what they are for and another reason why I wish her and my dad lived closer. It was a HUGE blessing to have her here. She is like water to my soul. (hmm, that sounds like it should be in a Boyz 2 Men song)
Love you Marmy!

I love that you got an update and such a cute one at that! Your Mom sounds wonderful and amazing, you needed her at just this time.

Your writing sounds cheerful and spirited which I love to see after these terrible past few weeks.

your son being "a prince of leisure" makes my heart happy... Like he should be dressed in a little white suit with a baby blue polo shirt wearing a gold chain wearing sunglasses on a yachat in the Mediterranian with other babies of leisure dancing to European Techno. :) ♥

and that Jess comment was from me. I kind of forgot that I was in the process of fixing her blog.

What a fabulous mama you have there!

I'm so up in the air on the blog union. If I do it'll just be me...not hubby...no kids. I still owe about 7K to Gladney and still have to travel. ACK! I have a place to stay for free but it's the plane ticket and all the going out that we'll do while there. Man, I'm so torn...I wanna go SO BAD but I have to be responsible. If God drops a check in the mailbox for 17K I'm SOOO there. It could happen, right? :)

Soo glad your mom could be here to cheer you up! And think, one day YOU will be that mom to Malak! Yep, babies LOVE their moms!

I'm so glad your sweet mama could be there for you during what we all hope will be the last bad chapter of the suck fest. You've got a good mom there, Tara, and I know you know it. She's so good at being a mom, you could loan her out to hundreds of other kids and she would somehow have enough love to make each of them feel special, too. Oh, wait, you already did that. =) (Thanks.)

We're going to keep praying that all of Jones' wishes for Malak will be fulfilled SOON! I just know you're going to have good news any day now!
