We have made it to Houston, TX. One whole hour away from OKC! It has been long and arduous but I think we might be able to make it a little further. :) We have quite a few hours to kill here so we just made a very wise financial decision and spent $40 to download the entire 4th season of One Tree Hill onto our Ipod. We have 3 hours until we board our next flight, 10 hours to fly to London and then another 9 hours to get to Addis...so I think 21 episodes will be just about right. I know, we are aparently highschoolers, who watch and LOVE One Tree Hill. But I blame Amy Bottomly and Christie Sturzenbecker for making us fall in love with it. They made us. And if they jumped off a bridge, I would too. :)
I have found the most glorious snack ever. Pre-shelled pistacios. They are God's gift to me. A whole giant container filled with green, pre-shelled, salty goodness, it makes me happy as I sit here and wait to board the plane.
Every once in a while, it has really hit me that we are about to meet our son! Seriously, most of the time it still just feels unreal and far-off, but a few times today it has hit me and I get all giddy and excited! Like right now, this would be one of those moments. Eeeeeks, I am so excited!! I was telling Eric earlier...I wonder if he is squishy. I hope he is squishy. Not just chubby or big, but actualy soft and squishy...he looks like he might be. I also wonder what his little voice sounds like...is it deepish or is it high and squeeky...is he crawling? Or even sitting? Does he have any teeth yet? I don't know these things yet but in a few short hours I will!! And be sure, I will let you know the answers to these impending questions! As I'm sure you all are just dyyying to know.
Ok. Time to watch some One Tree Hill.
