Nope.

Nope. Nope. Nope. The only good news is that we have been rescheduled for this Friday. Woohoo. It was very sweet of Mary to give us the heads up yesterday, (I love her and Natalie and all the Gladney workers) so we could prepare and I could commence Cry Fest 2008. So amazingly enough, I have been mildly ok today. Of course I re-started Cry Fest '08 this morning while talking to Mary but am now feeling quite good that Friday is only 3 days away. Here is some oh so hilarious news- Thurday is a holiday in Ethiopia...kinda like the day before our last court date...so there is of course, a chance that they will be all backed up and not get to our file. Oh dear Lordy. Throw me a frickin bone.

Okay. Reasons why Friday is better.

1) It's FRIDAY! Everybody loves Fridays!

2)I will be at work on Friday and will officially have a blog to stalk between the butt-wiping.

3) May 2nd was the day the Nelson Mandela was victorious in the first democratic elections in South Africa- a good day for all of Africa!

4) Um...

Okay, I could only come up with 3 things, but hopefully it will be a little spot of sunshine for you...

This just plain sucks... I'm so sorry, you WILL move past this.

God Bless you! I have been following your blog along with others as my friend, Andrea, just adopted her baby girl. You have been heavy on my heart since reading your pleas for prayer and I can assure you you will continue to be prayed for through Friday when God willing, your case will be heard and you will receive your sweet phone call. You are a strong person to endure all that you have - it will be "educational" to look back and learn what it was He was trying to teach during this time. Times of trial or difficulty or waiting, etc are painful and frustrating, but in my experience turn out to be a blessing in the end...years may pass, but the blessings stay always!

I just now see this post and I totally just emailed Emily back. She was worried about you sweet Tara! I am worried about you sweet little friend. I am happy that your new court date is Friday. For the love.... You must get through.

Call me... when you feel like it. I mean, no pressure. I will stop calling and sending texts though...hope I wasn't too annoying.

Love you!

Crap. I feel like every day in Ethiopia is a freaking holiday! Stop all your partying and give her the stinkin' baby!

Stacie said...

Please, please, please, please let us have something to celebrate this weekend! We can have margaritas at the zoo! (They probably don't allow that though - but whatever!)

Praying, praying, praying.

Hasn't every good thing that has happened with Malak so far happened the day after a small type holiday? Easters a pretty big holiday so it obviously couldn't have happened that day. But Friday would work just perfectly...if not, maybe I'll fly down on Saturday!

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy!!! Seriously enough is enough! Would they be more motivated to give you your baby if you just went ahead on over there to talk to the judge yourself (with a translator of course)... I mean just a thought...

I mean seriously. WHAT IN THE WORLD????? Okay, I know you just want it over with and probably wish you could stop getting comments about how crappy that is because you really want to get comments like: "hooray, congratulations!". So sorry. Friday will be the day for sure. So does that mean you won't hear anything until Saturday?

Oh, Sweet Tara, I am so sorry it is dragging on like this. I can't imagine how frustrating and hard it is to wait and be disappointed over and over. I've been praying and I'll keep doing so, and my sweet ladies from our Bible Class are pulling for you and praying for you too. They all know Malak's name (and they all really like it, too), and they are praying for him to come home to you as soon as possible. It's going to work out, and soon! I know it!

I am so sorry! I really hate this for you and Eric, it's just so hard and unfair. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope and pray that you will have GOOD news finally on Friday!
