Habakkuk 2:3

This verse gives me hope and speaks to my heart- for our baby and his adoption...

"But these things I plan won't happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, be patient! For it will surely take place. It will not be late by a single day." Habakkuk 2:3

I hope this verse fill your heart with hope, all you adopting families out there who may be wondering why we have to go through so much!
This waiting, this process, is all part of God's plan. eric and I have always known that the Lord called us to adopt this child, that Malak was a gift from Him, but I forget that this whole waiting period is also a part of His plan! I feel like this verse is saying, "don't give up! Wait on me and I will give you your son at just the right time and he will be completley perfect!"
Mommas coming Malak!

I really like that. I was just saying today how I am getting so anxious about my referral...and it has only been 2 and a half weeks of waiting. This made me smile and take a deep breath!!

Hey Tara,
What a beautiful verse! Even though I said I wasn't going to complain anymore, of course I did when I heard the referral timeline moved to 3-5 months. This is a good reminder that the date we find our children is already predetermined and it will happen exactly when it is meant to happen. Maybe I should just try repeating that over and over. I've never been good waiting for anything- in fact most of the people I know get their Christmas gifts from me in November because I can't wait!

Well I don't know about you but considering all things I think we're doing a pretty good job of being patient. I've been "offically waiting" for a baby since the day I was married so that makes it 767 days!

Hope you have a great day!

I have been thinking about this same concept for the last couple of weeks. As Rolo and I wait for certain things we have to remind ourselves that there are blessings during the waiting period and we don't want to miss out on those. If you have My Upmost of His Highest... which I know you do, Aug 5 was a really good read and helped me understand more about God and his time.
